The Ninilchik Tribal Court was established to formally engage tribal self-determination into affairs in which the tribe holds standing. The court holds concurrent jurisdiction with the State of Alaska and only acts as an intervention body in cases filed with the state if they officially pertain to tribal affairs, such as those covered under the Indian Child Welfare Act.
As of 2013 the Ninilchik Tribal Court has been made inactive pending restructuring. The Tribal Services Department is currently the point of contact for tribal court related referrals. For more information please contact Bettyann Steciw at 907-567-3313 or email@example.com
